The Library Troll

 The caverns where I dwell
Could move you through the sky
Trails that abound may lead you far
Beyond, or keep you nigh

These caves of pleasant dreams
Might soothe your troubled heart
But nightmares often break the seams
To play a different part

What magic hides in this strange wood,
What Wizards rule this world?
Can I discern what’s bad from good,
What fate to be unfurled?

This, not pixie dust I drink
It transcends their breadth
This wondrous mist, mysterious link
To birth and life and death

I open doors to hidden codes
Gaze at arts to me unknown
I'm unfamiliar with these modes
Such tricks I’ve not been shown

She, the Queen of Spirit Kind
Protector of our realm
Explores the curious human mind
That me does overwhelm

I search these paths of light and dark
To protect, my blood would shed
Great Mother bids me watch and hark
So, here I make my bed

To travelers:  enter if you dare!
Through these windows you may peer
This realm exists for all to share
A gift to hold so dear!
