The Fairy Circus

Extra, extra!  Step right up!
Come and see the show
We promise to bedazzle you
And make your spirits glow

See sparkling, living fairies
And our little forest friends
Performing feats of magic
Before the extravaganza ends

The greatest known performers
From fairyland, so fair
Will make you awe and wonder
And lose all your despair

No lions or fine elephants
Will join us on our stage
They’re much too big and lovely
And we never use a cage

We have a talking bunny
A chipmunk who can fly
A leapfrog who swings on trapeze
Whose limit is the sky

Mr. Mouse has wisdom
So much he understands
He'll answer all the questions
You have of different lands

The fairies will enchant you
With cheerful wide-eyed glee
But only if you lift the veil
And truly want to see

Welcome to our circus tent
Hear our sacred verse
Lift your wings upon the breeze
Into your Psyche immerse

Explore the mystery of the Fae
You have a pass to roam
When you’ve seen the other side
We’ll safely guide you home

I sometimes pronounce Psyche as psych...which I obviously have done here...oh well, can't win them all...they rhythm wars, that is...

WIKIPEDIA:  "In Greek Mythology, Psyche was the deification of the human soul. She was portrayed in ancient mosaics as a goddess with butterfly wings. The Greek word psyche literally means "spirit, breath, life or animating force".
