The Cat's Meow©Daniel Merriam

The Cat's Meow

An angel entered my vision
Stunning, strong, and demure
She tugs on poetical heart-strings
With mystifying allure

A lady created by magic
As fine as the pure driven snow
She glides with the wings of a fairy
By her gardens and country chateau

As rare as the jungle’s white lion
As light as the wisps of a cloud
Her eyes are windows of wonder
Her beauty, ferocious and proud

She’s the meow of a cat in my view
A feline with style and grace
But I always keep a safe distance
Lest claws plant a kiss on my face
