The Archivist

The Archivist that takes his quill
Unsheathes a mighty sword
From which instructive ink does spill
That transfers knowledge stored

Memories of times gone by
Records of our past
Ancient ciphers never die
They are patiently recast

Onto pages, sacred scrolls
By nimble, astute minds
Stalwart creatures, gracious souls
Perseverance that reminds

Of venerated histories
The continuum we share
Our ancestors’ great mysteries
Of love, joy, and despair

Philosophies, the arts, and verse
Stories that define
For time we must in faith traverse
With the spirits we enshrine

The journey starts with every scribe
That reveres Clio’s chore
Without perception, there's no tribe
No existence, absent lore
