Treasures

Magic in My Mailbox

I found a bag of magic
Behind my mailbox door
Of sacred stones and talismans
I've never seen before

An elfish coin which grants me
Passion, magic, joy
Crystals from our Mother
For luck I might employ

Apache Tear for when I’m sad
And need an inner-calm
Or, if my lower back goes out
To aid a healing balm

A little piece of Tangerine
To help my focus grow
And expand awareness
To let my feelings show

A Kyanite placed in the mix
To bring tranqulity
Might help me learn my Latin
With great facility

How these earthly gems combine
To fortify my mind
My heart is ready willing
To this magic I'm inclined

Like golden leaves and flowers
That fell from Autumn's wreath?
Who is this benefactor
My treasure doth bequeath?

A gesture most poetic
The mail was good today
I'm taking in my blessings
And to the owl will pray!
