Imminent Irene

Mother Nature rages
Irene will sing her song
Her notes will fill our pages
So we must get along

She reminds us that we're here
That calm can marry strife
She makes it absolutely clear
We live a vibrant life

If she causes damage
While she shivers spines
With caution we will manage
The message she divines

Is it the Goddess you suspect
For wind and rain and surge?
Then for Mother have respect
With her will we merge

The fear she may foment
Is just her way to share
Appreciate the moment
Remind her that you care
