Eucalyptus Pathway

Eucalyptus pathway
Guides me to a light
Where amber marries violet
In Arroyo Seco's night

Kings of sun-burnt canyons
Majestic honored sage
Pasadena's guardians
Blessings of old age

We thank you for your visit
Grand Australasian guests
We've recognized your beauty
Upon your western quests

At times we might politely ask
To let your sisters breathe
So they can claim their native soil
Allow their roots to teethe

But you will always have a place
On land and in the heart
You're not to blame for flourishing
In our songs and art
