A Geek's Love Poem
When I first beheld your face
My heart began to reel
O goddess you have melted
My stubborn heart of steel
Your ravenous beauty I adore
I’m pierced by cupid’s sting
My trembling knees bow on the floor
Please crown me as your king
O, auburn maiden, sweet and fair
Will you go out with me?
I’ll shine my shoes and comb my hair
Guard the entrance when you pee
When we sit to have our wine
For me a Coke, or three
I’ll tell you why you're so divine
With songs I learned from Glee
I’ll dine with you before a dance
Some awesome tunes we'll share
My feet don’t really stand a chance
So I’ll watch you from my chair
We can talk about great flicks
Star Wars, half the time
I’ll explain the Matrices (-ix)
Why Inception is sublime!
If I manage not to spill
Or, curse myself and stare
Proudly will I pay the bill
And help you from your chair
I’ll kiss you gently on the cheek
Forgive me if I bite
I may be just a sci-fi geek
But I’m Parzival tonight!
How will I live without you?
I know that you exist!
How I wish you’d want me too
Or, put me on your list
I swear to you my fealty
Forever can I wait...
I have virtual reality
And Latin to translate
Is there a nice equation
That I might devise?
With Calculus' persuasion
To integrate your eyes!
If you agree to just one date
I swear that I'll quit chess
World of Warcraft?... don't dictate!
Such POWERS I possess!
